In 2018, there were 2.24 million SME in Australia. Only 36% succeed past the first 5 years. Those that outsource their bookkeeping to a registered BAS agent, increased their success rate.
SME who used Xero & communicate with & work closely with their Certified Xero Advisor, increased their success rate to 85%.
The ATO acknowledge the complexity involved in managing & navigating the different regulatory & govt body laws & encourage small businesses to not go it alone & utilise registered BAS agents.
